The
site is titled at Play because:
When
I was five my parents plucked me from the perfect life I had been leading (center
of the universe, near-instant gratification of nearly every need, all Play)
and set me off into the world of school (also known as work), more school,
and work-work. During that entire (57-year-long) episode my plan was to
regain the pervasive delight of the early idyllic time.
Much of what you
will see here shows or describes my efforts and some of their results. You'll
be pleased to know I've essentially attained the goal: I pretty much do what I
want, when I want, at the rate I want.
It feels good.
