In a time when
advertising was not allowed on race cars, and drivers were "set
down" by "amateur" organizations (SCCA, Cal Club) for
participating in professional racing events, the RRR was an
effort to inject a little sanity into the milieu, and a little money
into the pockets of the drivers and owners. It lasted a year or two.
