RIR is—was—between the hills and to the left. The taller one is Box Springs Mountain (915 meters) as seen on RIR Pics Page 7, as well as in the first on-track frame in the Grand Prix Legends simulator, RIR Pics 6, and myriad other Riverside International Raceway photos.

I paid admission at an IMSA event, mid-80s. Someone slipped me a pit pass through the paddock fence so I could get closer to the circus. Afterward, went to visit my Dad at Redlands, just over the hills to the north. The best way was east on Highway 60, north on Redlands Boulevard from Moreno, west on San Timoteo Canyon Road to Dallesandro, then into the 'burbs. The way back was just the reverse. The day was closing as we went west on 60, and I pulled off at a ramp to make this shot.
