The Fabulous-50s racers Spring gathering and Concours d'Provenance VENUE PEOPLE PICTURES VEHICLE PICTURES (This Page) (Annotations to be added as time AND MEMORY permit) |
The Concours
d'Provenance concept was originated to bring together people and cars
with histories of attendance at racing events that took place at Paramount
Ranch during its short existence. And here they come... |
Led appropriately by the Pre-War MG NP Magnette of Mike Jacobsen, whose father Lars entered the car at Paramount Ranch. Davey Jordan is in a good position to enjoy the sights and sounds of the arriving vehicles. |
Mike Jacobsen a little closer, witnessed by Ruth Levy and (I've forgotten). |
A little inspection of the MG N-type's front suspension. |
"Topper" directed traffic and checked-in the exhibits. I was told this C-tpe Jaguar is a reproduction. You can see an original C-type's mis-adventures at Paramount Ranch, among Tom Cardin's photos from the era. |
An Arnolt-MG. Rare. |
One sold at auction in 2014, $110,000 |
A little more Arnolt action. Bill Watkins' Arnolt-Bristol |
"Topper" and a racy Sprite |
Mercedes 300SL and a glimpse of some of the lineup |
|
More of the lineup |
The Corvette had a story, on FotoTime. "Topper" with clipboard, Kurt's Doretti in the background. |
I believe this should settle the spelling of "OLD YELLER", although there are those who hold otherwise |
Anton and the Perfect FIAT 8V |
The 8V and some of Tam's Daimler SP250. |
And at the end of the day
you gan drive your treasure home...
