This
is all passé: Monument never materialized.
Closest we got was this years-old
visit to the Community Center.
I don't know if any of the RIR stuff is still there.
October 2, 2021: Looking at a"360-degree"
view of the assembly room
it appears RIR memorabilia has been removed from the
entry walls.
Seems to me the 360's table with bouquet is in
the location of the easel in the older photos.
There's enough detail
in the 360 to convince me the wall display is gone. Where is that stuff
now?
Ingrates.
A
Monument has been approved to grace the entrance of the new, 4,000 square-foot
TownGate II Community Center in Moreno Valley. The Center will also house in
perpetuity a display of Riverside Raceway memorabilia. A
view of the approved monument configuration and an artist's rendering of the monument
in its setting can be seen at: Your support for this worthy project is appreciated very much. Please plan to attend the dedication ceremony, date to be announced. |
